About Us

Landlife founded the National Wildflower Centre on Merseyside as a millennium project and separate charity in 1999 and we have our base here. As an established eco-attraction and award winning centre for our native wildflower heritage, we have worked to inspire people to take positive action for nature wherever they live. Promoting new wildflower landscapes, learning, creative conservation and better health and wellbeing, the National Wildflower Centre welcomes over 30,000 visitors annually. Over 12 years, we have drawn over 21m of investment to bring nature and people closer together.

Landlife has continued to work regionally and nationally on new projects, pioneering soil inversion and recyled wastes for wildflowers, informing policy and new directions, shaping urban nature and environmental justice work. Landlife also runs its trading company Landlife Wildflowers, farming wildflowers for seed and offering consultancy advice all over the UK.

From April 2013, Landlife has merged its National Wildflower Centre project into the Landlife parent goup. As part of this, we are re-working our website and marketing information to reflect the change and are moving and upgrading this Landlife site at the moment. Please bear with us until this is completed.
