Here at Landlife Wildflowers, we take quality seriously, and genuinely want every one of our customers to be delighted with their purchase and results. We're passionate about restoring wildflowers right across the UK in a responsible way - from gardens and meadows to road verges and farmland.
Our wildflower seeds are grown from UK wild meadow collections to ensure our seed mixes restore Britain's true native species. Seeds are harvested each summer and cleaned to exceptionally high standards of purity and germination so that the seed you receive is high-quality and provenance assured. Periodically, we make fresh wild meadow collections for multiplication to be certain of ongoing native origin.
The Landlife Wildflowers range of wildflower seeds mixes have been tried, tested and improved for over two decades on our own research and development site, in conjunction with our wildlife conservation charity partner, Buglife - The Invertebrate Trust. We welcome customers to visit these trials and see our products in action for themselves. The pictures featured on our website are genuine photos taken by us and our customers to showcase the real results of our products so that you can buy with confidence.
Unfortunately, imported seed of non-native wildflower variants is increasingly common - beware of 'cheap' wildflower seeds containing invasive species or seed that has not originated from wild UK meadow collections. Similarly, it is common for some suppliers to claim to sell 'certified' or 'organic' wildflower seeds which is in fact not possible - wildflower seed is not regulated by DEFRA or other bodies and therefore cannot be certified or organic. Instead, the supply of wildflower seeds is based on a large amount of trust - that the mixtures are as specified and of native origin, as is the case here at Landlife Wildflowers. That's why we're trusted as the wildflower seed supplier to organisations such as Natural England, The Environment Agency, Wildlife Trusts, local councils, wildlife charities and many more. Very occasionally, we include a small amount of non-native species in our mixes for particular purposes - such as nectar-rich clovers for bees and butterflies and grain-bearing plants to provide a winter food source for wild birds. Where included, we're always transparent and include details in the product descriptions.
Our wildflower plants and wildflower bulbs are also subject to our stringent quality and provenance standards - always grown from native seed and supplied ready to be planted straight out into your garden or meadow.
